CCWS – Creating the ideal space for your CLIENTS AND work force!

THE COMPLETED PROJECT

Banking Circle, a global leader in next-gen financial services infrastructure, asked us to design their dynamic new home right in the heart of the City of London. Well, what could we say? Sure thing guys, it’s an honour!

Headquartered in Denmark, Banking Circle has its roots firmly in disrupting the status quo. They were after a home that enabled agile working, putting collaboration front and centre, while championing the pared-back, super-cool interior design the Scandinavians are famous for. That’s the kind of brief we love to work with. Challenge accepted, we set about designing a space that’s just as flexible and future-focused as Banking Circle are.

NEW OFFICE, NEW RULES

One thing was certain from Banking Circle’s new office, and that was the desire to support their dynamic culture with a completely agile and collaborative working environment. This meant creating an abundance of designated desk spaces alongside flexible meeting spaces and non-bookable collaboration areas where staff could come together and make the magic to happen—there certainly weren’t going to be any cubicles in this design!

The glorious centrepiece is a boardroom that truly means business, complete with curved glass windows and ceilings that sweep up to create a feature double-height space. The Scandi vibe has a strong focus on simplicity, so we kept the lines clean with white-glass writing walls and stylish Scandinavian soft furnishings complete the look.

FOCUS ON WELL-BEING (AND VIEWS, AMAZING VIEWS!)

We spent time with Banking Circle to really understand what they wanted and expected from their London base, and wellbeing emerged as a solid commitment. We looked to re-write the rules with tonnes of alternative working spaces to suit every personality, and communication tools that follow staff wherever they go. There are so many areas in this interior where individuals can perch and plug-in from different locations—many of which are situated near the large windows to maximise exposure to natural light. This allows staff to find an area that supports and recharges them, rather than adapting their mood to a static environment.

DESIGN THAT WENT INTERNATIONAL

And for those times when you just need to get away from the “busyness,” we created the ultimate coffee shop-style breakout area with laid-back sofas, chairs, tables and and London’s very own touch of love—the best views across London Bridge towards the iconic Shard.

Overall, this is a design to break any worker out of her routine. The client loved it so much, they asked us to roll out this same design across Europe, for Banking Circle’s offices in Luxembourg and Copenhagen.

Does that mean CCWS has gone international? We think it might!
