At 100 New Oxford Street, CCWS reworked approximately 13,800 sq ft for Space Ape Games, creating a bold, highly varied workplace for making, meeting, concentrating and coming together.
Game development is collaborative, concentrated and constantly changing. Space Ape needed a workplace with more varied, non-assigned settings — not simply more desks and meeting rooms.
The design had to give teams places to review work, gather quickly, hold private conversations, focus for longer periods and connect socially, while expressing a distinctive culture without compromising the professional workplace behind it.
CCWS organised the floor around a mix of open studio space and deliberately different shared settings. The reception and kitchen establish a social centre, while the Bridge boardroom, Dojo and Panda rooms give key spaces their own identities.
Six meeting rooms, one-to-one pods, focused work areas, collaboration zones and tiered seating create meaningful choice throughout the day. Dark finishes and vivid orange graphics deliver a strong first impression without turning every surface into a brand statement.
The scheme combines graphics, lighting, furniture and bespoke elements with the practical requirements of a large creative studio. The black entrance lobby acts as a graphic threshold before the plan opens into lighter, more varied settings.
Acoustic separation and a spectrum of room sizes support both concentration and team-based work, while alternative settings reduce dependence on formal meeting rooms.

Space Ape gained a workplace with the energy of the brand and the range required by the work. It can support quiet focus, rapid collaboration, studio reviews and larger social moments within one coherent environment.
The finished project demonstrates a central CCWS principle: personality does not have to come at the expense of performance.
Inspirational workplaces that reflect our clients’ brand, culture and ambition.
